Pyeongtaek City Recruiting Teams for 'Youth Participatory Budgeting' Program

The Pyeongtaek Youth Culture Center in Gyeonggi-do is recruiting teams to participate in the '2024 Pyeongtaek Youth Participatory Budgeting' until the 27th.
The 'Youth Participatory Budgeting' is an activity where youth proactively identify necessary projects within the local community and directly carry out everything from program planning to budgeting and operation. The city has been implementing this system since 2021.
Teams consisting of four or more youths aged 9 to 24 residing in the area can apply. The supported project fields include ▲Social Participation (Volunteering) ▲4th Industry ▲Humanities and Social Sciences ▲Media ▲Career ▲Culture and Arts ▲Others, totaling seven categories. Applications should be for innovative and specialized projects that contribute to the promotion of youth welfare, rather than simple public facility maintenance projects.
The city will hold a budgeting briefing session and academy on the 30th, followed by a project proposal meeting on the 6th of next month. After reviewing the proposed projects, the city plans to select 15 outstanding teams to provide budget support and activity consulting.
