The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 13th that they have arrested and are investigating four Vietnamese nationals, two men and two women, on charges of special theft.
According to the police, the suspects are accused of stealing clothes from a clothing store in a complex shopping mall in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, around 5 p.m. on the 9th. It was also investigated that they stole a large number of clothes from a large shopping mall near Yeongdeungpo Station around 7 p.m. on the same day.
Police investigations revealed that they entered Korea on the 8th. They stole clothes from more than five large shopping malls in the Seoul metropolitan area, including Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi. In particular, they targeted SPA brands intensively. The damage is known to exceed 50 million won. SPA brands refer to brands that sell clothing at relatively low prices. The targets of the crimes were large-scale places or locations with lax employee surveillance.
