Seodaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Seongheon) announced on the 12th that it has recently started dredging work on sewers, storm drains, and connecting pipes to ensure smooth rainwater drainage and stable sewage treatment during heavy rainfall.
The target includes a total length of 327 km of sewers and 14,664 storm drains within the district, with the construction scheduled to proceed from this month until December of this year.
The district will promptly carry out the dredging work through specialized companies based on regular patrols, inspections, and received complaints.
This project is expected to help reduce flood risks during heavy rain and prevent foul odors, thereby creating a pleasant residential environment.
