Song Ga-in Donates 5 Million Won to Jindo-gun's 'Mo-a Dream' Fundraiser

Queen of Trot Song Ga-in donated 5 million won to the joint fundraising project ‘Moadream’ for discovering and supporting vulnerable households in her hometown, Jindo-gun.

According to the county on the 12th, the joint fundraising project ‘Moadream’ is a fundraising activity in which the public and private sectors, including Jindo-gun, Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, and the Jindo-gun Community Security Council, participate together to secure resources for local welfare projects that can independently address local welfare issues.

Before her congratulatory performance at the opening ceremony of the 44th Jindo Mysterious Sea Road Festival, Song Ga-in took the stage and delivered the donation to Jindo-gun, saying, “The love from my hometown Jindo residents, who always give passionate support anytime and anywhere, is a great strength,” and “I am glad to be able to return the love I received to the neighbors in need in my hometown Jindo.”

County Governor Kim Hee-soo expressed deep gratitude for the donation from singer Song Ga-in, a pride of Jindo, saying, “With the funds raised through Moadream, we will actively promote local welfare projects to eliminate blind spots in welfare starting this year, creating a Jindo-gun where all residents can live without being marginalized.”

Meanwhile, national singer Song Ga-in participated in the opening ceremony held on the first day of the Jindo Mysterious Sea Road Festival, responding with passionate singing to the visitors who came to the festival site despite the cloudy weather and fans who traveled from afar. She is also scheduled to appear as a guest singer in the National Singing Contest held on the second day of the festival to perform a congratulatory performance.
