Martial Arts, Business Consultation Meeting for Korean Wave Products with US H Mart and Vietnam Lotte Mart
The Korea International Trade Association (KITA), in collaboration with specialized trading companies H Mart in the United States and Lotte Mart, held a consultation meeting inviting overseas merchandise planners (MDs) at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, the association announced on the 12th.
Over 230 domestic consumer goods companies, including those in food and beverages and daily necessities, applied to participate. After passing document screening, 61 companies had one-on-one consultations with MDs from Vietnam's Lotte Mart and the United States' H Mart.
After the consultations, the final selected companies will be able to participate in overseas promotional events held at about 30 H Mart stores in the United States and about 10 Lotte Mart stores in Vietnam.
The Korea International Trade Association invited buyers from H Mart in the U.S. and Lotte Mart in Vietnam to a two-day consultation event held on the 11th and 12th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Participating companies explained their products to the representatives of Lotte Mart and H Mart.

Last year, KITA achieved export results worth $350,000 (approximately 460 million KRW) through the H Mart promotional event in the United States.

Kim Ki-hyun, head of KITA's Global Cooperation Headquarters, said, "This event introduces excellent small and medium-sized enterprise products to overseas consumers by utilizing global specialized trading companies," adding, "Next month, we will hold joint consultation meetings for expansion into eight countries including Canada and Mongolia with GS Retail and NH Nonghyup Trading."
