Hwasun-gun Signs Agreement with Japanese Distributor to Expand Agricultural Product Exports
Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) has signed an agreement with a Japanese distribution company to expand the export routes for agricultural products.
Hwasun-gun announced on the 11th that it recently signed a business agreement with Hitoshina Corporation (CEO Kim Gyu-hwan) to expand the export of fresh agricultural products from Hwasun-gun.
The signing ceremony was attended by Governor Gu Bok-gyu, Hitoshina Corporation CEO Kim Gyu-hwan, as well as the head of the Agricultural Technology Center, the head of the Rural Vitality Division, and the head of the Rural Support Division.
At the event, both parties promised to provide fresh agricultural products, develop and discover new products, establish a stable supply system, cooperate to enter and pioneer the Japanese market, and support promotional activities for fresh agricultural products to expand exports.
Hitoshina Corporation is a Korean agricultural food import company with annual sales of 2 billion yen. It started in 2001 as Chandol Japan Co., Ltd., serving as a sales channel for Korean companies in Japan, distributing and supplying excellent food products throughout Japan.
CEO Kim Gyu-hwan has served as the 9th and 10th president of the Zainichi Korean Agricultural Food Federation, a general incorporated association composed of 32 member companies in Japan, and as president of the Shinjuku Merchants Association, among other roles, indicating various possibilities for expanding distribution channels. Through this agreement, the export expansion of fresh agricultural products from Hwasun-gun is expected.
