Tourism Organization, Cheongju City, and Others Join Hands to Boost Inbound Tourist Attraction
7 Organizations Public-Private Tourism Collaboration Agreement
The Korea Tourism Organization will support the attraction of foreign tourists to Cheongju City, Chungbuk Province.

On the 11th, the Sejong Chungbuk branch of the organization announced that it signed a joint business agreement at Cheongju City Hall with seven organizations including Cheongju City, Cheongju Tourism Council, Aero K, Hyundai Department Store Chungcheong Branch, Cheongju Grand Plaza Hotel, Gloster Hotel, and J1 Hotel to cooperate in revitalizing individual foreign travel in the Cheongju area.
According to this agreement, each organization will cooperate in ▲ promotional marketing to attract individual foreign tourists linked to Cheongju International Airport ▲ development of joint tourism and airline packages to increase the number of stay-type foreign tourists.
To commemorate the '2023~2024 Visit Korea Year,' the organization will produce and distribute Chungcheong tourism welcome kits containing postcards with still cuts from the Korean drama 'The Glory' and Visit Korea Year goods.
Cheongju City will provide free city tour tickets, discounts on visits to major tourist attractions, and souvenir purchases. Each hotel will launch special room rate promotions targeting foreign individual tourists arriving via Aero K, the base airline in Cheongju.

Yang Su-bae, head of the Korea Tourism Organization’s Sejong Chungbuk branch, said, "Since the launch ceremony of the regional tourism council in February, we have actively consulted with local governments, airlines, and local private sectors to promote this welcome promotion." He added, "Taking this agreement as an opportunity, we will further expand discount benefits to attract individual foreign tourists visiting the Chungcheong area, including Cheongju."
