A Local Brand 'Experiential Popup Store' Opens on Mokdong Rodeo Street in Yangcheon-gu
Mokdong Rodeo Vacant Stores Utilized by Merchants, Collaborate with Local Brands to Open Short-Term Shops Featuring Pizza and Bags... Native Yangcheon-Based Food Company 'Pizza Alvolo' and Eight Yangcheon Bag Brands Jointly Launch
From Product Sales and Exhibitions to One-Day Experience Programs and Events, Targeting Preferences of MZ Generation and Family Visitors
Yangcheon-gu (District Mayor Lee Gi-jae) will open an experiential pop-up store featuring pizza and bags, with participation from local brands, by utilizing two vacant stores near Mokdong Station on Mokdong Rodeo Street for five days from March 13 to 17.
The 'experiential pop-up store,' introduced on a trial basis at the suggestion of merchants in the Mokdong Rodeo alley shopping district, was planned with the aim of revitalizing the depressed commercial area by partnering with local brands and leasing vacant stores on Rodeo Street.
In particular, due to the nature of the 'pop-up store,' which sells limited quantities for a short period, it is expected that the MZ generation, who are enthusiastic about 'limited edition and special edition' items, and family visitors who prefer unique experiences will naturally be drawn to the Rodeo commercial district.
First, at the 'Pizza Alvolo Pop-up Store (21, Mokdong-ro 25-gil),' a native dining company headquartered in Yangcheon-gu, visitors can enjoy unique foods such as 'Mokdong Pizza' and 'Mokdong Beer Set' incorporating the local name, whole wheat dough pizza, as well as 'Yeongcheon Garlic Pizza' created in collaboration with Yeongcheon City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and other Yeongcheon specialties. Additionally, by participating in the spinning disk (roulette) event, visitors can receive a pizza (one pie) and 'BT21,' a planned product (goods) created by BTS and Naver Line Friends.
Notably, Pizza Alvolo plans to donate the proceeds from this pop-up store to prospective entrepreneurs in the district, which is expected to greatly contribute not only to revitalizing the local commercial area but also to promoting a startup culture.
At the 'Bag Brand Pop-up Store (12, Sinjeongjungang-ro 19-gil),' products from eight brands made by local bag artisans will be exhibited and sold, and experiential classes to make your own mini bag will be held five times daily. A photo zone where visitors can take commemorative photos will also be set up in one corner of the pop-up store.
