"Building Camaraderie and Friendship" ... Changwon Special Market Cup Workplace and Club Tennis Tournament Held
22 Workplace Teams and 106 Clubs with 768 Participants
Changwon City in Gyeongnam announced that the "11th Changwon Special City Mayor's Office and Club Tennis Tournament" is being held successfully over two days, from the 9th to the 10th, at 13 venues including the Changwon Municipal Tennis Courts.
This tournament is hosted by the Changwon City Sports Council and organized by the Changwon City Tennis Association, making it the largest and most prestigious competition to determine the strongest workplace and club teams based in Changwon.
This year, a total of 768 tennis enthusiasts participated, including 22 workplace teams and 106 club teams. After the preliminary group league, the main and final matches were held, showcasing the skills honed through hard work.
At the opening ceremony, Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, congratulated the tournament on its 11th edition, saying, "Regardless of winning or losing, I hope this tournament will become a festival that strengthens friendship and camaraderie among players and establish itself as a cornerstone for the continuous development of recreational tennis."
He added, "Our city will continue to strive to activate recreational sports that help protect the happiness and health of our citizens by hosting various tournaments, revitalizing sports programs, and improving facilities."

Changwon Special City plans to expand the infrastructure for recreational sports as the number of people, especially from the MZ generation, entering the tennis sport and the activity of tennis clubs have increased since COVID-19.
