The city will first remodel the outdoor restrooms in the recreation forest plaza by next month, applying a 'universal design' to make them accessible for people with disabilities. This project is being carried out with support from Gyeonggi Province for creating a barrier-free tourism environment.
The city will also invest 281 million KRW to improve the aging decks of nine lodging buildings in Bamtigol and Gamagol, and spend about 97 million KRW to renovate the aging decks on a 28-meter section connecting the recreation forest parking lot and the lawn plaza, as well as a 22-meter section of the Eco Adventure entrance path.
The area around the water tank at the entrance of the recreation forest will be reinforced through slope restoration work to prevent soil erosion during heavy rains. The construction cost will be 20 million KRW from city funds. The deck improvements and slope maintenance around the water tank are planned to be completed within this month.
