Yongin City Invests 33.6 Billion KRW in 70 Youth-Tailored Projects
Promotion in 5 Areas: Jobs, Housing, Education, Welfare Culture, and Participation Rights
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 7th that it will invest 33.6 billion KRW in 70 customized youth policies this year. This amount is an 18% increase from last year's related budget of 28.5 billion KRW.
The city compiles youth-related policy projects operated by each department by sector to establish an annual implementation plan for the promotion of youth welfare. This year, the city will implement 70 detailed projects across five sectors: jobs, housing, education, welfare and culture, and participation rights.
Key detailed projects by sector include, in the jobs sector, ▲Yongin Youth Work Bridge ▲Youth Job Creation Project ▲Yongin Youth Hope Wardrobe Project. In the housing sector, notable projects include ▲Youth Jeonse and Monthly Rent Deposit Loan Interest Support ▲Jeonse Deposit Return Guarantee Fee Support.
In the education sector, projects such as ▲Social Newcomers Fintech Project ▲Software Purchase Cost Support will be carried out; in the welfare and culture sector, ▲Youth Student Loan Credit Recovery Support ▲Youth LAB Activation; and in the participation rights sector, ▲Youth Policy Network Operation ▲Yongin Youth Online Platform Construction will be promoted respectively.

A city official stated, "We have planned various detailed projects to establish a foundation for independence at different life stages such as university students and newlyweds," adding, "We will continue to implement effective policies reflecting the demands of youth."
