The Personal Information Protection Commission (hereinafter referred to as PIPC) has launched an investigation into major overseas direct purchase companies such as AliExpress and Temu.
PIPC announced on the 7th that it has been conducting an investigation since last month into the collection and processing of personal information by major overseas direct purchase companies with large user bases, prompted by issues raised during the National Assembly audit.

PIPC is reviewing the adequacy of personal information processing policies, overseas transfer, and safety measures obligations under the Personal Information Protection Act. If any violations are found, appropriate actions will be taken in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
