British Army Deletes Notice of "Crown Princess Attending June Military Parade"... Suspicions Intensify
Remove Photo and Name from Homepage
Absent from Official Events After January Abdominal Surgery
Rumors of Critical Condition Spread
The British Army announced on its website that Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, would attend the upcoming Trooping the Colour ceremony in June, but abruptly deleted the notice, raising suspicions.
The British Army posted on the official Trooping the Colour website that the Duchess of Cambridge would attend the event on June 8th. However, following a series of related reports, late on the 5th (local time), her photo and name were removed from the announcement. Her photo was replaced with an image from a previous Trooping the Colour ceremony, and the statement that she would inspect the troops was changed to "inspection by a colonel."
Since the Duchess has not appeared publicly after undergoing abdominal surgery in mid-January, speculation about her condition has been rampant, and this response has intensified doubts. Even after the British Army’s announcement of her attendance, the Royal Household did not confirm it. However, with the Army removing her photo from the website, the possibility of her absence has increased.
BBC reported, "The Army’s announcement was based on the Duchess’s position as Honorary Colonel of the Irish Guards," adding, "However, only Kensington Palace (the royal household) can confirm her attendance." The Daily Telegraph cited sources saying that plans regarding the Duchess’s attendance are still under discussion, and an official announcement will be made once Kensington Palace makes a final decision.
Earlier, the Royal Household announced that the Duchess underwent surgery on January 16th and would be hospitalized for about two weeks, indicating she would not resume official duties until Easter (March 31st). Rumors circulated that her condition was not good, but the Royal Household only stated that she was recovering without providing further details.

The Trooping the Colour ceremony is a royal event commemorating the monarch’s official birthday, held for over 260 years. Regardless of the monarch’s actual birthday, it takes place in early summer when the weather is favorable. In June last year, King Charles III rode a horse to inspect the troops at his first Trooping the Colour ceremony since his accession.
