Boseong-gun, 7 Siblings Family Moves into a 'Real Home'
Creating Happy 'Gadeukhan' Housing Spaces to Ensure Children's Right to Housing
A new home has been provided for a family with seven siblings in Mundeok-myeon, Boseong-gun, where the living environment was poor.
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that on the 5th, it completed the "A Proper Home" project, a love house-building initiative targeting the family with seven siblings in Ungok Village, Mundeok-myeon, Boseong-gun, and held a move-in ceremony.
The love house-building project "A Proper Home" began on November 7, 2023, after Boseong-gun and the Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation (Director Kim Yuseong) signed a business agreement for Boseong Love? Child Love. The project aims to identify children in crisis families and provide customized welfare services tailored to their life cycles and appropriate living environments.
This project completed a comfortable living space for the seven siblings who lived in a house with poor insulation and ventilation and at risk of collapse, located in a residential welfare blind spot. It includes a safe and pleasant living room, rooms arranged according to the children’s genders, and a rooftop room on the second floor as a study space for the children.
Deputy Governor Kim Gyuwung said, “Mutual cooperation and linkage between the public and private sectors are important for the safe and happy growth of Boseong-gun’s dream trees.” He added, “We will do our best to establish a protection and support system to ensure there are no welfare blind spots.”
Meanwhile, Boseong-gun plans to continuously provide customized welfare services such as housing environment improvement, medical support, and educational support to children in crisis who need help by promoting fundraising for the Boseong Love? Child Love campaign, linked with local residents and the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation.
