Discovering SME Technology Transaction Demand Through Employees of Kibo and Partner Organizations
Recruitment of Participants for the 'Technology Transfer Supporters' Program
The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Kibo) announced on the 6th that it is recruiting technology transaction supporters as part of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' 'Technology Demand Information RFT Construction and Advancement Project.'
The technology transaction supporters program is a pilot project being implemented for the first time this year. It registers employees of partner organizations that have contact points with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as supporters, and rewards are paid when technology transfer contracts and brokerage fee settlements for companies discovered by the supporters are completed.
Supporters identify technology transaction demands of SMEs at their work contact points and apply on their behalf for the RFT (Request for Technology) preparation support project. Based on the RFT, Kibo clearly understands the technology demand information and conducts technology transfer brokerage activities centered on the demand-side SMEs.
Kibo plans to prioritize operating this pilot project this year targeting employees of 'partner organizations that have signed agreements with Kibo as supporters' among institutions affiliated with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, startup incubation centers belonging to the Korea Business Incubation Association, technology credit evaluation agencies, technology evaluation agencies, banks, and other institutions that have contact points with SMEs.
Employees of partner organizations who wish to participate can apply for supporter registration from the 13th until June 28th. Detailed information can be found in the announcements posted on Kibo’s website and Smart Tech Bridge.
