Seongdong-gu Prioritizes Promises to Residents with Swift Execution ... Catalyst for Livelihood and Economic Recovery
Priority Implementation of Pledged Projects and Resident Requests, Targeting 116.4 Billion KRW Execution in First Half
"Enhancing Budget Execution Efficiency through Emergency Bidding and Advance Payment Activation to Revitalize Local Economy"
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) will prioritize projects promised to residents in the first half of this year by promoting rapid execution of a budget totaling 116.4 billion KRW, aiming to revitalize the local economy and implement resident-satisfactory administration.
In the current situation where the local economy is struggling due to high inflation and sluggish exports, the district will focus on swift financial spending centered on projects promised to residents to enhance their tangible experience and satisfaction, while also serving as a catalyst for the recovery of the livelihood economy.
Accordingly, the district plans to concentrate its efforts on rapid financial execution by managing the progress of key projects such as the expansion of smart smoking booths, the creation of public parking lots around Kumho 1-ga-dong, and other pledged and resident-demanded projects, while seeking solutions to remove obstacles for somewhat lagging projects.
Additionally, the district will actively utilize rapid execution guidelines such as emergency bidding and advance payment activation to improve execution efficiency.
In particular, by advancing the schedules of projects promised to residents, including their long-standing demands, the district plans to devote full efforts to rapid execution. This is because prioritizing and firmly fulfilling promises made to residents is crucial to gaining their trust and satisfaction in administration.
Furthermore, the district will conduct thorough management by rechecking the schedules to ensure that major projects closely related to residents’ daily lives can be completed quickly. The ‘Rapid Execution Promotion Team,’ led by the Deputy Mayor, encourages timely execution of key projects by each department and regularly monitors execution performance.
Moreover, for projects funded through external resources secured at the end of last year, which were especially focused on budget acquisition as resident-demanded projects, the district plans to expedite their progress and complete them promptly.
