Gyeongnam Provincial Council to Begin 411th Extraordinary Session for 10 Days Starting from the 5th
Pointing Out Issues and Urging Special Attention to Overall Administration of Provincial and Metropolitan Offices of Education
The Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Council will begin a 10-day extraordinary session starting with the 1st plenary meeting of the 411th extraordinary session on the 5th.
During this extraordinary session, plans include handling general agenda items such as the appointment of the 2023 fiscal year settlement inspection committee members, questions regarding provincial administration, ordinances, and proposals to the central government.
At the 1st plenary meeting, three council members?Kwon Hyuk-jun (Yangsan 4), Park Byung-young (Gimhae 6), and Jang Jin-young (Hapcheon)?will raise questions about provincial administration and education administration overall, presenting policy alternatives to identified issues and urging special attention from the executive agencies. After the provincial administration questions, agenda items such as the partial amendment ordinance concerning the payment of council members’ activity expenses will be addressed.
The 4th plenary meeting of the 411th Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Council will be held on the 14th, where eight council members including Lee Jae-du (Changwon 6) will deliver 5-minute free speeches to point out problems related to provincial administration and regional issues, propose alternatives, and urge special attention and measures from the executive agencies.

Additionally, for the 2023 fiscal year settlement inspection of Gyeongnam Province and the Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education, 10 settlement inspection committee members will be appointed, including three council members and private experts such as tax accountants and certified public accountants. After appointing members of the Budget and Settlement Special Committee, handling 19 ordinances, and 4 proposals, totaling 26 agenda items, the extraordinary session schedule will conclude.
