View original imageOn the 4th, LG Uplus announced that it has installed the in-vehicle video streaming service 'U+mobiletv' in the Genesis series. Since providing 'U+mobiletv' to Hyundai and Kia vehicles equipped with the 'ccNc' infotainment system (a technology that adds entertainment to information delivery) in September last year, the company has been expanding the applicable vehicles. ccNc (connected car Navigation Cockpit) is Hyundai Motor Company's new infotainment system.
Vehicles supported by U+mobiletv are all models equipped with the 'cclC' and 'premium 6th generation' infotainment systems. The application method is done through wireless (OTA) updates, automatically reflecting the infotainment service. By subscribing to Genesis's Streaming Plus plan (7,700 KRW per month), users can use U+mobiletv without an additional subscription fee.
The in-vehicle 'U+mobiletv' is a video streaming service that allows viewing of 15 real-time channels including news, children’s programming, music, entertainment, and sports. It provides high-quality media content based on a stable communication environment specialized for connected cars.
Unlike the DMB method, which transmits signals from broadcasting stations and satellites, communication is transmitted directly to the connected car, enabling uninterrupted viewing even in shadow areas such as tunnels and underground parking lots.
