Especially from March to June, local foods such as Suhyangmi rice, and from July to October, SongSan grapes will be used to operate differentiated experience programs by age group, aiming to increase familiarity with local agricultural products and encourage improved eating habits among infants and young children.
For children aged 1 to 2, the 'Koryo's Delicious Playground' program runs daily at 10 a.m., offering sensory play using ingredients and handwashing prevention education. For children aged 3 to 5, the 'Local Food Gulp, Healthy Meal Boom Boom' program is held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 1:30 p.m., featuring various snack-making and tasting programs using Suhyangmi rice and SongSan grapes.
Meal service centers wishing to participate can apply through the Hwaseong Children's and Social Welfare Meal Management Support Center's education website. The city plans to maximize the program's effectiveness by providing educational activity sheets linked to the training for children who participate, ensuring the lasting impact of eating habit improvement and picky eating prevention education.
