Earlier, on the 21st of last month, a similar incident occurred at a vineyard in Ansan-dong, Yuseong-gu. In this vineyard as well, 50 grapevines were left with only their stumps remaining. The police suspect that the theft took place during the off-season when the farm owners visited their fields less frequently. However, since the exact time of the crime is unclear, they are having difficulty identifying the culprit. The area where the incidents occurred is remote and lacks closed-circuit television (CCTV) coverage, but the police have pledged to do their best to investigate and prevent further damage.
