The city established the Forest Kindergarten in the Jeongeupsa Park area in 2019 and has been operating forest experience programs for young children annually.
Last year, over 3,300 children participated in the programs, engaging in various seasonal activities together.
This year, from April 4th to 13th, the city will recruit regular class participants from kindergartens and daycare centers located in Jeongeup.
Children from the selected kindergartens and daycare centers will be able to participate in the experience programs starting in April.
Institutions wishing to participate in the regular classes should fill out the application form according to the recruitment notice posted on the Forest and Greenery Division website and submit it via email to the division's contact person.
In addition to the regular classes, from April 18th until November, two forest kindergarten instructors will be stationed to provide free forest experience programs.
The program operating hours are divided into regular and occasional classes, with one session each in the morning and afternoon on weekdays.
For occasional classes, participation is allowed only on Thursdays for external institutions or short-term participants. Prior reservation through the city hall website's integrated reservation system is mandatory before use.
A city official stated, “The Jeongeupsa Park Forest Kindergarten will do its best to operate the forest experience programs to provide high-quality forest services as a place for forest education.”
