117 Ventures and Startups Participate
Over 1,000 Interviews Including at Indian Institute of Technology
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 27th that it held the '2024 Venture Startup Talent Matching Festival' in New Delhi, India, to help domestic venture companies recruit excellent software (SW) talent.
Until now, the 'Venture Startup Talent Matching Festival' has mainly targeted domestic university students, but starting this year, it will also be held locally in overseas countries desired by ventures and startups to attract global talent.
Officials from the Korea Venture Business Association and the Indian Institute of Technology Alumni Foundation are posing for a commemorative photo after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
View original imageThe first 'Overseas Local Talent Matching Festival' held in India was attended by 117 Korean venture companies and over 1,000 Indian youths. One-on-one interviews between Korean companies and Indian youths were conducted by prior reservation, and depending on company circumstances, the program was divided into domestic stay type and local stay type.
In addition, the Korea Venture Business Association and the Indian Institute of Technology Alumni Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promise ongoing exchange and cooperation for the employment of Indian Institute of Technology graduates at Korean venture companies.

Oh Young-joo, Minister of SMEs and Startups, said, “Silicon Valley has built a world-class venture ecosystem by attracting and absorbing excellent talent not only from its own country but also from other countries,” and added, “Starting with recruiting SW talent, we will prepare various measures for the globalization of the Korean venture ecosystem and accelerate the globalization of venture companies.”
