From May to September last year, 120 creators were selected mainly in the daily life category to complete Season 1 activities. Following that, from October last year to this month, the categories were expanded to include design, music, magic, and pets, and Season 2 activities were conducted with over 200 creators from diverse fields. The Season 2 completion ceremony was held on the 24th at LG Uplus’s Yongsan headquarters in Seoul, with the participation of LG Uplus officials and over 200 creators.
During Season 2, Why Not Boosters produced a total of 918 pieces of content, achieving a cumulative view count of approximately 24 million. These figures represent increases of 30% and 60%, respectively, compared to Season 1. The average number of followers per creator increased by 137%, and the number of voluntarily produced contents by creators rose by 238% to 255 pieces compared to Season 1.
LG Uplus is conducting various activities to strengthen creators’ content production capabilities. In Season 2, in collaboration with Meta Korea, professional Reels (Instagram short-form service) training was provided, and unique content experts such as popular creators No Eun-sol and Nimmol Cash were invited to offer both online and offline mentoring opportunities.
A ‘Creator Dashboard’ was also introduced, allowing creators to check their activities at a glance and analyze content data. Detailed data such as upload frequency, content length, and top exposure hashtags are analyzed, and know-how to improve content quality is regularly provided.
Why Not Boosters Season 3 will operate from May this year. The program will be strengthened by reflecting LG Uplus’s know-how accumulated since May last year and the opinions of creators. Creators who participated in Seasons 1 and 2 will also take part in Season 3 activities to continue content production.
