Jeju West Fire Station Conducts Fire Prevention Training for Pig Farm Personnel
Jeju Western Fire Station (Chief Ko Jung-bae) announced on the 22nd that it visited the Jeju Handon Association Western Branch on the 21st and conducted fire prevention education for pig farm officials.
The training, attended by about 50 pig farm officials, was promoted to prevent fires as pig farm fires have recently occurred one after another in the jurisdiction of the Western Fire Station.

During the training, recent pig farm fire status and statistical analysis, replacement of old electrical wiring, and regular pig farm fire safety management were emphasized.
Chief Ko Jung-bae of the Western Fire Station said, “In the past five years, 23 pig farm fires have occurred in the Jeju area, and according to the analysis of fire causes, electrical factors accounted for 15 cases (65%), the largest proportion. Therefore, for fire prevention, periodic replacement of old electrical facilities and autonomous safety management by farm owners are very important.”
