Gyeonggi-do Offers 10% Discount on International Express Shipping Fees for Multicultural Families
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeongin Regional Post Office will offer a 10% discount on personal international express mail service (EMS) rates for multicultural families sending parcels to their home countries this year, continuing from last year.
Eligible recipients include ▲those whose foreign registration card specifies ‘national spouse’ or residence status F-6-1, F-6-2, F-6-3 ▲marriage immigrants or those who can provide proof of naturalization approval ▲those who have acquired nationality and can be verified as marriage immigrants through resident registration cards and family relation certificates (copies accepted), among others.

View original imageWhen visiting, simply bring an ID that can verify multicultural family status, a family relation register (marriage certificate), or documents confirming household members to send international express mail to each person’s home country at a discounted rate.
An additional 3% discount is available when pre-registering via the smartphone Post Office app or the internet Post Office.
Due to the mandatory provision of advance customs clearance information for international mail, all details on the label, including sender and recipient addresses and item descriptions, must be written in English.
Gyeonggi Province is home to the largest number of multicultural families nationwide, totaling 343,500 people.
