Gyeonggi-do Supports Consulting Costs for Renovation of Aging Apartment Complexes
Gyeonggi Province is launching a support project for consulting costs related to the redevelopment of aging apartment complexes.
On the 21st, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will carry out the "Gyeonggi Province Apartment Redevelopment Consulting Project" at seven complexes this year, providing consulting cost support so that owners of aging apartment complexes can determine whether to pursue remodeling or reconstruction at an early stage of the project. Interested apartment complexes can apply by April 26.

Starting with a pilot project from 2021 to 2022, Gyeonggi Province selected 10 complexes last year, including Sangwoo 1st Apartment in Gwangmyeong City, and is currently promoting the project.
The remodeling consulting targets apartment complexes that have been completed for more than 15 years and have not received approval for establishing a union. The remodeling-reconstruction comparison consulting and reconstruction consulting target apartment complexes that have been completed for more than 30 years and have not undergone safety inspections. For all three types, more than 20% of the owners must agree to apply for the project.
For complexes requiring consulting, the resident representative meeting must fill out the application form in its name and submit it along with consent forms and various supporting documents to the department in charge of apartment remodeling (reconstruction) in the relevant city or county.
Selected complexes will receive professional consulting, including customized redevelopment plans reflecting residents' opinions and on-site conditions, business feasibility analysis, and estimated contribution fees per household. The consulting fees will be shared equally, with Gyeonggi Province and the city or county each covering 50%.
