Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix, is scheduled to visit the set of 'Squid Game 2,' which is set to be released this year.

View original imageOn the 16th at 2 p.m. at Centropolis in Jongno-gu, Seoul, Ted Sarandos met with reporters and said, "Works like The Glory have sparked global enthusiasm, and the much-anticipated 'Squid Game' will return with the next season." He added, "We are very excited about the world and games recreated by director Hwang Dong-hyuk, and I am looking forward to visiting the (Squid Game) set."
According to Netflix, on that day, Sarandos will visit the office of Scanline VFX, a subsidiary acquired in 2021, and Netflix Korea headquarters in Jongno-gu to meet with employees. He is scheduled to visit the set of the Netflix original content 'Squid Game' on the 17th.
Sarandos visited Korea eight months ago after attending the 'Netflix and Korean Content Talk' event held in Seoul in June last year. This visit is understood to be a business trip for an internal Netflix event.

It is not known whom Sarandos will meet during his visit. During his visit last year, Sarandos met with Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and stated, "We will consider cooperation plans so that the industries of both Korea and the U.S. can grow together."
