Gwangju Dong-gu Chungjang-dong, Support for Monthly Rent Arrears of Care Crisis Households
The Community Security Council of Chungjang-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it has been finally selected for a support public project for care crisis households and secured a support fund of 1.5 million KRW.
Members of the Crisis Household Discovery Team of the Chungjang-dong Community Security Council identified a middle-aged single-person household with long-term arrears in monthly rent and health insurance premiums, and as a result of applying for the "Safe Fence Housing Support Project" sponsored by the Blue Sharing Foundation, a corporation, they were finally selected and can provide 1.5 million KRW to cover the overdue rent.
Seon Jong-cheol, chairman of the Chungjang-dong Community Security Council, said, "Since the economy is not doing well, many people are struggling with utility bills and monthly rent," adding, "We will actively discover neighbors in need of care and strive to provide prompt support."
