Pyeongtaek City Supports Air Pollution Control Facilities for Small-Scale Businesses
Subsidies Covering Up to 90% of Installation Costs
Support for IoT Measuring Device Installation Also Provided
Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 14th that it will promote the 'Support Project for Installation of Air Pollution Prevention Facilities in Small-scale Businesses' starting this month to improve air quality by reducing fine dust emissions.

To this end, the city plans to invest a budget of 1.53 billion KRW this year to support the installation and replacement of facilities and the installation of Internet of Things (IoT) measuring devices at small and medium-sized enterprises operating four to five types of air emission facilities within the city. Applying companies will receive subsidies covering up to 90% of installation costs.
The application period is from the 15th of this month to the 6th of next month. Interested companies can refer to the announcement on the city or Korea Environment Preservation Agency websites and apply by visiting or mailing the Korea Environment Preservation Agency. The city will review documents and conduct on-site inspections to prioritize and select beneficiaries within the budget range.
Previously, from 2019 to last year, Pyeongtaek City supported 16.3 billion KRW for 327 air pollution prevention facilities through this project over four years.

Park Ok-ju, head of the Environmental Policy Division of Pyeongtaek City, said, "This project will not only reduce the economic burden on small businesses but also greatly help reduce emissions of air pollutants, including fine dust."
