Anseong-si Provides Dementia Patient Treatment and Management Costs Support Without Income Restrictions
Medical Treatment and Medication Costs Limited to 30,000 Won per Month
The Dementia Safety Center in Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do announced on the 14th that it has removed income restrictions for support projects aimed at early detection and continuous treatment and management of dementia.
Eligible recipients are those registered as residents in Anseong who meet the diagnosis and treatment criteria and can receive support after registering at the center. The support covers out-of-pocket expenses for dementia treatment management costs under insurance benefits, providing actual cost reimbursement up to 30,000 KRW per month, with an annual limit of 360,000 KRW.

Previously, Anseong City supported treatment and management costs for 1,359 dementia-registered patients, accounting for 70.5% of the total, last year. Shin Hyung-jin, director of the Anseong City Public Health Center, expressed expectations that "by expanding support for dementia treatment management costs, the community care system will be strengthened, and the economic burden on caregiving families will be alleviated."
