Urging Best Efforts to Promote Projects for Citizens' Health and Safety
Jo Gyu-il, mayor of Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, visited the site of the "Aging Water Purification Plant Maintenance Project," which is promoting the integration and modernization of the dualized 1st and 2nd water purification plants, on the 13th to encourage the officials and inspect the project site.

View original imageThe Aging Water Purification Plant Maintenance Project is a project that has invested a total of 91.2 billion KRW (45.6 billion KRW from the national government and 45.6 billion KRW from the city) to expand the 2nd water purification plant (140,000 tons/day) by 35,000 tons and to upgrade the entire facilities including existing water purification facilities, machinery, electrical, and measurement control equipment to automation and modernization since 2020. The project started in April 2023 and is progressing smoothly with the goal of completion by December 2026.

Mayor Jo, who inspected the site that day, urged the officials, saying, "Once the Aging Water Purification Plant Maintenance Project is completed, the modernization of water purification facilities and the unification of facility operations will improve the production and supply capacity of clean tap water. We will do our best to promote the project for the health and safety of citizens."
