LG Household & Health Care Ranks in Top 5% in EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment
France EcoVadis Evaluates Over 100,000 Companies
Proving Sustainability and Social Responsibility Compliance
LG Household & Health Care announced on the 14th that it has received the 'Gold Rating' in EcoVadis' sustainability assessment.
EcoVadis assessment results are used to verify each company's sustainability and fulfillment of social responsibility in transactions between global companies. Founded in 2007 in Paris, France, EcoVadis has evaluated the global sustainability of over 100,000 companies across more than 170 countries. The evaluation is conducted in four areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
EcoVadis rating levels are awarded in the order of Platinum (top 1%), Gold (top 5%), Silver (top 25%), and Bronze (top 50%). LG Household & Health Care received a Silver rating in the previous assessment, and in this evaluation, where the score criteria for each rating were raised, it achieved a Gold rating, placing it within the top 5%.
To expand ESG management, LG Household & Health Care is continuously promoting environmental protection activities with the goal of achieving 'Net Zero' (carbon neutrality) by 2050. The company also conducts human rights impact assessments at domestic and global business sites and publishes a 'Human Rights Supply Chain Report,' among other efforts to promote human rights management. Additionally, to ensure sustainable supply chain management, it conducts ESG evaluations on over 400 partner companies and continues efforts for sustainable procurement, such as building an inventory to reduce carbon emissions and engaging in energy-saving activities.
