The ‘Arts Industry Academy’ is a restructured and expanded version of the ‘Arts Management Academy,’ which has fostered self-sustainability through management activation in the cultural and arts sector since 2007. In 2023, the scope and target of education were broadened to encompass the entire arts ecosystem, supporting the development of over 50,000 talents to date.
This year’s program is divided into ▲Talent Development ▲Enterprise Growth ▲Specialized Personnel courses, categorizing education according to the growth stages of arts industry members. Additionally, it plans to establish a foundation for the arts industry through advanced specialized education and expanded networking by course.
The curriculum is segmented into levels such as introductory, basic, advanced, and applied to enhance educational effectiveness and provide comprehensive training tailored to the proficiency of each target group. Systematic educational stages have been prepared to match the growth phases of personnel, from those aspiring to enter the arts industry to specialized professionals and managers.
In particular, entrepreneurship education for prospective arts entrepreneurs is offered, allowing participants to experience everything from understanding arts startups and exploring ideas to presenting their own business models. Employment education is also provided for job seekers preparing for careers in the arts industry, including resume and portfolio writing, aiming to enhance the employment and entrepreneurial competitiveness of prospective workers wishing to enter the arts industry.
The Center is also committed to nurturing experts capable of planning overseas market access and distribution for the performing and visual arts sectors. It equips distribution and mediation specialists in each genre with new competencies required and offers opportunities to expand their scope of activities. Especially through intensive specialized training courses such as ‘Performing Arts Creative Producer Development,’ it promotes job specialization within the arts industry and establishes a foundation for the industrialization of the arts.
An official from the Arts Management Support Center stated, "Since the Arts Industry Academy focuses on practical experience-based professional talent development education and provides significant hands-on assistance to participants, we hope to meet more diverse talents who have built expertise through the academy in the arts field."
