Global Rookie Discovery Audition with Japan's A-BOX
YG Entertainment is teaming up with Japanese talent agency avex to discover the next generation of K-pop rookies.
On the 13th, YG announced that it will hold the Korea-Japan joint audition 'YG x avex Audition 2024.' This joint audition, conducted in collaboration between the two entertainment companies, is the first in about eight years since the 2016 'YOUNGUNS AUDITION.'
The two companies will hold a large-scale audition consisting of 10 rounds in seven major Japanese cities, starting with Sapporo, followed by Nagoya, Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo, Sendai, and Okinawa. The audition will be conducted on-site based on online video screenings, and selected applicants will undergo additional evaluations.
This audition is open to anyone born between 2003 and 2013, regardless of gender or nationality. Applications can be submitted online only from today until the 10th of next month. Detailed information can be found on the official website of 'YG x avex Audition 2024.'
