The Resident Doctors' Association, All Except the President Resign... Transition to Emergency Committee
Passed at the Online Extraordinary Delegates' General Assembly on the 12th
The Korean Intern Resident Association (KIRA), which opposed the expansion of medical school quotas, will operate under an Emergency Response Committee (ERC) system.
On the 13th, KIRA announced that it held an online extraordinary general assembly at 9 p.m. the previous day and passed the agenda titled "Resignation of all vice presidents, directors, and members of the 27th Korean Intern Resident Association and transition to the Emergency Response Committee." The agenda was approved with 175 units in favor and 19 abstentions out of 194 units present (total 223 units).
Accordingly, all members except President Park Dan, including Vice President Park Myung-jun, Policy Director Ko Hyun-seok, Policy Director Oh Yeon-woo, Policy Director Lee Hye-joo, Training Director Choi Se-jin, Welfare Director Kim Kyung-joong, and External Cooperation Director Kim Min-su, resigned effective immediately.
