Jangseong-gun, Jeonnam, Takes Action to Resolve Unauthorized Detached House Issues
Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do will register unauthorized detached residential buildings in the building register.
The ‘Unauthorized Detached Residential Building Register Project,’ launched as a new policy this year, was prepared to resolve obstacles when residents exercise property rights or apply for flood-related support projects.
The targets are detached residential buildings completed before May 9, 2006, in non-urban areas (management, agricultural and forestry, natural environment conservation areas) with a total floor area of less than 200㎡ and up to two stories.
The county will invest 45 million KRW of its budget to initially implement the project for 30 buildings and plans to secure additional funds depending on demand.
Applications can be submitted in person at the administrative welfare center of the applicant’s address by the 29th of this month.
After reviewing relevant laws, the county plans to select candidates by March. Confirmed project participants can apply by attaching building status survey results and other documents.
A county official said, “We expect that the inconvenience experienced by residents who have not been able to enjoy various benefits and rights due to the lack of building registers will be significantly resolved.”
