KOTRA, Online Meeting Between K-Defense SMEs and Mid-Sized Companies and Middle East Buyers
15 Small and Medium Enterprises and Mid-sized Companies and 24 Middle East Buyers Participate
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced on the 12th that it conducted a pre-arranged online consultation session between Middle Eastern buyers and Korean companies participating in the comprehensive defense exhibition in the Middle East, 'WDS (World Defense Show) 2024,' held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The consultation session was held in advance from January 15 to 19, ahead of the WDS event period (February 4?8).
The consultation involved 15 Korean small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies and 24 local Middle Eastern buyers, resulting in 61 consultations. Through this, export consultation amounts reached approximately 42 million USD.
Held for the second time this year following 2022, WDS is regarded as the largest defense exhibition in the Middle East. According to the organizers, about 700 companies from approximately 75 countries participated in this WDS.

KOTRA stated, "Even after this consultation session, we will faithfully support the exports of companies participating in WDS and, in cooperation with the Defense Acquisition Program Administration and local governments, support overseas expansion of defense SMEs and mid-sized companies by linking online consultations with offline exhibitions."
