View original imageGyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon posted on his social networking service (SNS) on the 10th, Lunar New Year’s Day, that he gifted pizza and fruit to hardworking firefighters and visited police officers to encourage them.
Governor Kim said on SNS that day, "I visited my mother in Anyang on Lunar New Year and paid respects with my siblings," adding, "I prayed for my mother’s health, who has become weak after major surgery last year. Then, I stopped by the Gwian 119 Safety Center in Anyang to encourage the firefighters."
He continued, "Yesterday, I visited the Taean 119 Safety Center in Hwaseong to offer encouragement, and a firefighter’s wife left a comment on my SNS. She mentioned that firefighters often cannot eat properly during emergency duty on holidays," and introduced, "Feeling concerned, I gifted pizza and fruit to the firefighters."
He especially added, "Later, the firefighters sent me photos of them eating the pizza and fruit, expressing their thanks, but rather, I am the one who is thankful to the firefighters who work emergency duty even during holidays."
