Gwangju Seo-gu Implements 'Gumin Safety Insurance'... Coverage Up to 10 Million Won
Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 7th that it will implement the ‘Seo-gu Resident Safety Insurance,’ which provides support of up to 10 million KRW to residents who suffer damage from disasters or accidents in daily life.
This year, the scope of benefits for residents has been expanded by adding the ‘Injury Accident Diagnosis Lump Sum (excluding traffic injury accidents)’ category, and it also supports ▲injury death, injury aftereffects ▲burn surgery expenses ▲gas accident death, gas accident aftereffects ▲and school zone traffic accident injury treatment.
Residents registered in Seo-gu and registered foreigners are automatically enrolled in the Resident Safety Insurance, and claims can be made within three years from the date of the accident regardless of where the accident occurs nationwide.
For detailed information regarding insurance benefits, inquiries can be made to the representative insurance company DB Insurance and the Seo-gu Office Safety General Division.
Kim Hyunnam, head of the Safety General Division, said, “We have added coverage so that residents who need help due to disasters or accidents can receive more practical benefits,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to eliminate safety blind spots and realize ‘Safe Seo-gu by My Side.”
