KB Kookmin Bank · Hope Friends Kia Daechaek Lunar New Year 'Sharing Love for Traditional Markets'
Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced on the 6th that 'KB Kookmin Bank and Hope Friends Korea Food for the Hungry' donated 288 boxes of pears (7kg each) to low-income vulnerable groups for the Lunar New Year holiday.
KB Kookmin Bank, together with the nonprofit organization 'Hope Friends Korea Food for the Hungry,' purchased holiday gifts for vulnerable groups using Onnuri gift certificates at Cheongnyangni General Market, supporting small merchants in traditional markets and comforting vulnerable local communities who are often neglected during the holiday season.
Since 2011, KB Kookmin Bank has continued the 'Love Sharing for Traditional Markets' event for 14 years, delivering goods worth up to 9.6 billion KRW to approximately 152,000 vulnerable households.
Park Sun-hyun, CEO of KB Kookmin Bank Central Region Group, who attended the event, said, "We are glad that everyone can cooperate to revitalize traditional markets and help neighbors in need spend the holidays without loneliness."
