Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 6th that it will waive toll fees on the Bibong~Maesong Urban Expressway for four days from 0:00 on the 9th to 24:00 on the 12th in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday.
The city explained that as the government is waiving toll fees on expressways during this period as part of measures to stabilize people’s livelihoods, the city will also waive toll fees on privately funded roads managed by the city to ease the financial burden of travel during the holiday season.
Accordingly, users of this road during the Lunar New Year holiday can receive the waiver benefit by passing through the tollgate without taking a toll ticket. The city expects that approximately 127,000 vehicles will benefit from the waiver during this holiday period.
