LIG Nex1 Collaborates with Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute for Joint Development and Research of Astronomical Space Technology
"Promotion of Space Observation Technology and Research Projects"
LIG Nex1 has partnered with the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute to promote technology development and joint research in the field of astronomical and space technology.
On the 6th, LIG Nex1 announced that on the 5th, it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for "comprehensive mutual cooperation in the field of astronomy and space" with the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute at the LIG Nex1 Pangyo R&D Center in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do.
At the event, Choi Jong-jin, Head of the C4ISTAR Division at LIG Nex1, Park Young-deuk, President of the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, and other key officials from both organizations attended.

View original imageThrough this agreement, the two institutions plan to strengthen mutual cooperation in ▲space observation technology development and joint research ▲technology localization and commercialization ▲shared use of joint equipment, and also jointly promote mission planning and system development in the fields of astronomy, space, and defense.
Park Young-deuk, President of the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, said, "Based on space observation technology, we have accumulated differentiated research and development know-how as the national space environment monitoring agency," adding, "We will do our best to become an excellent example of domestic public-private technology cooperation."

Shin Ik-hyun, President of LIG Nex1, stated, "Space observation solutions are core foundational technologies in the aerospace field, which is emerging as a game changer in future battlefields and are receiving high attention," and added, "Through this agreement, LIG Nex1 plans to closely cooperate with the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute to focus on strengthening R&D and business capabilities in the fields of space and earth observation."
