"Wishing You a Warm Seol Holiday"... Gwanak-gu Implements 'Seol Comprehensive Measures'
Measures for Six Core Areas: Safety, Sharing, Traffic, Living, Prices, and Establishing Public Service Discipline
Comprehensive Situation Room and Disaster Safety Situation Room Operate 24 Hours... Total of 362 Emergency Staff on Duty During Holiday Period
Gwanak-gu (District Mayor Park Jun-hee) will implement a "Seol Comprehensive Plan" from February 7 to 13 to ensure that residents can have a safe and warm Lunar New Year holiday.
To proactively and effectively implement the comprehensive plan, the district has prepared measures in six key areas: ▲Safety ▲Sharing ▲Traffic ▲Living ▲Prices ▲Establishment of Public Service Discipline.
First, to respond quickly to emergencies during the holiday period, the district office's comprehensive situation room and disaster safety situation room will operate 24 hours a day. In preparation for cold waves and heavy snowfall, phased situation rooms will be activated, and task forces for traffic, medical care, and cleaning will be formed. A total of 362 employees will be deployed to minimize inconvenience to residents and prevent administrative gaps.
Prioritizing residents' safety, the district will also focus on preventing various incidents and accidents. Thorough safety inspections will be conducted across the board, including ▲Aged apartment complexes and construction sites classified as "safety-vulnerable facilities," ▲Gas facilities, roads, parks as "public facilities," ▲Traditional markets, shopping districts, public sports facilities, cultural assets as "multi-use facilities," and ▲Food manufacturing and sales establishments.
Efforts will also be made to create a warm holiday atmosphere so that no neighbor is left out. Through Lunar New Year social welfare center events and Food Sharing Days, warmth will be shared with those in need.
Additionally, approximately 15,500 households receiving basic living subsidies will be given a Lunar New Year consolation payment of 40,000 won per household. The consolation payment will be deposited into the accounts of households receiving basic livelihood and medical benefits as of January 24 without a separate application process. For households newly selected as recipients between the payment reference date and Lunar New Year day, additional payments will be made on the 20th.
In particular, the district will implement a care system for high-risk groups such as elderly living alone with mobility difficulties and persons with disabilities by utilizing the residents' personal safety network. The IoT-based welfare check care service will be switched to an emergency operation system to ensure the safety of high-risk single-person households.
The district will also operate a 24-hour traffic complaint handling situation room to respond immediately to traffic complaints. During the holiday period, two public parking lots affiliated with the district office (Samsung-dong 1st Public Parking Lot and Sinwon Market Public Parking Lot) will be open free of charge. Parking enforcement near traditional markets and major shopping areas will be relaxed to enhance convenience for users and revitalize local commercial districts.
Gwanak-gu Public Health Center will operate a medical countermeasure situation room from February 9 to 12, providing information on open medical institutions and pharmacies. On Lunar New Year day (the 10th), an emergency medical team will be operated to prepare for any medical service gaps.
Meanwhile, with the closure of screening clinics, those requiring PCR tests should contact medical institutions (pharmacies) prescribing oral COVID-19 treatments before visiting.
Furthermore, the district will operate a cleaning countermeasure situation room during the holiday period and establish an emergency work system for timely waste collection to minimize inconvenience to residents. Waste disposal will be allowed from 6 p.m. on February 11, while disposal is prohibited on February 9 and 10.
Alongside this, the district has organized a price stabilization task force and will work to stabilize prices and establish a sound distribution transaction order. Inspections will be conducted on markets and marts to check compliance with price labeling and monitor unfair trade practices.
