[Tomorrow's Weather] Heavy Snow Warnings Across the Country... Subzero Morning Commute
On the 6th, the whole country is expected to be mostly cloudy with rain or snow falling in most areas.
The Korea Meteorological Administration issued a heavy snow warning on the 5th at 8 p.m. for Taebaek in Gangwon Province and nearby mountain areas, as well as mountain areas in Gyeongsangbuk-do. Additionally, a heavy snow advisory was issued for some areas including Pocheon, Gapyeong, and Yangju in Gyeonggi Province, as well as Gangwon Province, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Jeju Island, and Ganghwa in Incheon.
On this day, snowfall of around 1 to 2 cm per hour was observed mainly in northern and eastern Gyeonggi and Gangwon Province, with snow accumulation recorded at 36.5 cm in Jochimryeong (Inje), 36 cm in Guryongryeong (Hongcheon), 35.3 cm in Sapdangryeong (Gangneung), and 33.7 cm in Jinburyeong (Goseong).
This snowfall is expected to continue until the morning of the 6th. Rain or snow will fall in most parts of the country, with precipitation continuing until the morning in the Jeolla region and Jeju Island, and until late afternoon in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island. Since wet and heavy snow will fall in these areas, there is a risk of collapse of livestock sheds, vinyl greenhouses, and structures.

The morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between -5 and 4 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs between 2 and 9 degrees Celsius. Fine dust levels are expected to be 'Good' to 'Moderate' across all regions.

Sea waves will be 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 4.0 meters in the South Sea coastal waters. Wave heights in the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline) are predicted to be 1.0 to 5.0 meters in the East and South Seas, and 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea.
