Naju City Council Urges Amendment of Special Law Including 'Support for Jeonse Fraud Victims'
Approval of the Proposal Initiated by CEO Kim Kang-jeong at the Plenary Session
The “Special Act Amendment Proposal for Supporting Jeonse Fraud Victims and Ensuring Housing Stability,” spearheaded by Kim Gang-jeong, a member of the Naju City Council, was approved at the 2nd plenary session on the 5th.
The proposal includes ▲ urging the government to promptly amend the Special Act on Supporting Jeonse Fraud Victims and Ensuring Housing Stability to establish comprehensive relief measures for victims ▲ urging the government to actively consider measures such as ‘pre-purchase and subsequent recovery’ of part of the deposit return claims to provide proactive support for victims.
Councilor Kim Gang-jeong stated, “While practical support for Jeonse fraud victims is necessary, it is also important to amend the law to fundamentally block the possibility of Jeonse fraud.”
The adopted proposal will be delivered to the President, the Speaker of the National Assembly, floor leaders of each political party, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and others.
