WON Universe Joins Steam Next Fest with Virtual Mate Creation Tool 'Meta Soulmate Maker'
Metaverse developer Won Universe announced on the 5th that it will showcase the virtual mate creation tool, ‘Meta Soulmate Maker (hereinafter MSM Maker),’ at Steam Next Fest.
MSM Maker is a tool that allows users to create virtual mates with their own unique subculture style. The development team stated that the tool was developed with a focus on maximizing the emotions involved in the process of creating another self?the first moment users encounter while using various games or services, a moment filled with care and excitement?essentially, their own soulmate existing in the virtual world.
Won Universe will introduce the MSM Maker trial version to users for the first time during the week-long Steam Next Fest starting on the 6th.
A representative from Won Universe said, “In this trial version, users can freely customize their character’s appearance, clothing, hairstyle, and more,” adding, “Users will be able to express their individuality by directly editing clothing images or showcasing their unique characters to others through free makeup customization.”
They continued, “This Steam Next Fest version will be playable on PC only, with plans to expand to various platforms later,” and “In the future, MSM Maker will be enhanced to allow free customization of Meta Soulmates, supporting users so that their created beings can freely operate in various worlds.”
Meta Soulmates created through MSM Maker can be used by individuals as VTubers and, with prior agreement with Won Universe, can also be utilized in game development. Won Universe plans to add proprietary content linked to games and metaverse projects within the MSM universe that it will develop independently.

In particular, Won Universe Labs is collaborating with Professor Shin Jin-woo’s research lab at KAIST Graduate School of AI to develop an AI persona system based on language models. They are also conducting research to enable natural conversations and communication with Meta Soulmates using this system.
