Hyundai Construction to Advance Payment of 600 Billion KRW to Partners Ahead of Lunar New Year
Practicing Coexistence and Sharing Ahead of Seollal Holiday
Hyundai Construction announced on the 5th that it has advanced the payment of 600 billion KRW in construction fees to partner companies at over 900 domestic sites in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday. To alleviate the financial burden on partner companies, construction and delivery payments were advanced to before the Lunar New Year holiday and paid in cash.
A Hyundai Construction official stated, "Hyundai Motor Group, to which Hyundai Construction belongs, has been prepaying delivery fees every year before the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays to help partner companies overcome financial difficulties. Last year, payments of 2.3766 trillion KRW and 1.9965 trillion KRW were advanced for the Lunar New Year and Chuseok, respectively."
Hyundai Construction also carried out win-win and sharing activities. On the 1st, Hyundai Construction held a Lunar New Year event for the elderly at the Christian Federation Hall in Yeonji-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. This event, held in cooperation with Jongno-gu Office and Jongno Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, was attended by 500 elderly residents of Jongno-gu. About 30 Hyundai Construction employees participated as volunteers, helping with preparations for the event, serving meals, and delivering gifts.

Since 2011, Hyundai Construction has maintained social contribution activities through a ‘One Company, One Neighborhood’ agreement with Jongno-gu, where its headquarters is located. Every month, it conducts the ‘Happiness Plus Love’s Healthy Meal Sharing’ project, providing food ingredients and healthy meals to low-income households in the Changsin-dong and Sungin-dong areas of Jongno-gu. Last year, warmth of love was delivered to a total of 1,374 households.
