Significant Expansion of Overseas Sales... Largest Performance Since Establishment
Operating Profit 146.8 Billion Won... 62.5% Increase YoY
Samyang Foods achieved its highest performance last year, marking the first time in its history that it surpassed 1 trillion KRW in sales.
Samyang Foods announced on the 31st through a public disclosure that its consolidated sales last year were tentatively estimated at 1.1929 trillion KRW, a 31.2% increase compared to the previous year. Operating profit during the same period rose 62.5% to 146.8 billion KRW, and net profit also increased by 55.6% to 124.9 billion KRW.
This is the first time Samyang Foods has exceeded 1 trillion KRW in sales and 100 billion KRW in operating profit. Last year, Samyang Foods significantly expanded its overseas sales based on the synergy between its overseas subsidiaries and the Miryang factory. Overseas sales in the third quarter surpassed 200 billion KRW for the first time, and in the fourth quarter, despite the economic slowdown in China, it performed well by achieving sales of 13 billion KRW through the country's largest shopping festival. In the United States, it has completed entry into Walmart and Costco and is accelerating its expansion into the alcoholic beverage channel.
