Dongshin University Decides to Reduce or Freeze Tuition Fees for 13 Consecutive Years
On the 30th, Dongshin University held a tuition review committee meeting and decided to freeze undergraduate and graduate tuition fees for the 2024 academic year to reduce the economic burden on parents and students.
Since the 2012 academic year, Dongshin University has consecutively lowered or frozen tuition fees for 13 years.
Despite freezing tuition fees, the university has continuously improved educational and employment programs as well as scholarship systems to support enrolled students so they can focus on their studies and job preparation without worrying about tuition fees.
According to the Ministry of Education's information disclosure standards, Dongshin University's 2023 tuition fee (an annual average of 6.7 million KRW) compared to scholarships (an annual average of 4.43 million KRW per student) shows a ratio of 66.1%, effectively realizing half-priced tuition.
These scholarship benefits and educational programs have led to employment success, with an employment rate of 68.8% announced in the 2024 Ministry of Education information disclosure results, ranking first among general universities in Gwangju and Jeonnam with over 1,000 graduates. Dongshin University has ranked first in employment rate for six consecutive years recently and for 12 out of the last 14 years.
