"The Korean supercar market is growing faster than we anticipated. We will allocate more units to Korea than last year and continue to increase our investments."
Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman of Lamborghini, recently stated this in a video interview with Asia Economy. Lamborghini, which celebrated its 60th anniversary last year, achieved a record-breaking global sales milestone of over 10,000 units. Among these, Korea is one of the fastest-growing markets. Last year's sales reached 434 units. Korea has rapidly risen to become the 7th largest market worldwide, surpassing Lamborghini's home country, Italy (409 units).
Currently, if you order a Lamborghini in Korea, you have to wait two years to receive it. This is even longer than the global average of 18 months. Chairman Winkelmann said, "Demand in the Korean market is increasing faster than our supply plans."

Throughout the interview, Chairman Winkelmann emphasized the importance of managing supply relative to demand. For a supercar brand that leverages scarcity as a key asset, controlling volume is a crucial marketing point. He said, "How well we manage brand and product value is the driving force behind sustainable growth," adding, "The key is to adjust production relative to demand to maintain consistent product value worldwide." He also noted, "We consider the preservation of used car value as an important indicator."
The Revuelto, unveiled last year, has sold out all production planned through 2026. The Revuelto is the brand's first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) model and serves as a gauge for market response to Lamborghini's electrification strategy. This model combines a V12 engine with three electric motors to deliver up to 1,015 horsepower. It accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds.
Chairman Winkelmann predicted, "Demand for the PHEV model is so high that even running the factory at full capacity cannot meet orders. We expect the Revuelto's production volume this year to exceed that of the Aventador at its peak sales period."

These will be released sequentially in the global market and introduced to the Korean market as well. The company plans to hybridize its entire lineup within the year and aims to release a fully electric vehicle around 2030. Additionally, Lamborghini has set a sustainability strategy to reduce carbon emissions across its entire supply chain by 40% by 2030.
